After a thorough qualification process Global Lifting and Engineering Services Nigeria Limited was officially certified on August 27, 2020.

ABS is recognized as one of the world’s leading ship classification societies and certification with ABS is recognition of a company’s adherence to stringent standards of accuracy and quality. The certification process is composed of both practical assessments and the assessment of administrative processes and procedures.

With this certification Global Lifting and Engineering Services Nigeria Limited becomes one of the few ABS certified inspection company (ESP Hull Gauging) allowing for closer working relationships with oil and gas and shipping companies in Nigeria and the West Africa Region.

Global Lifting and Engineering Services Nigeria Limited conduct ESP Hull Gauging to check the watertight integrity of the ship by inspecting the following areas of the ship:

• Close-up survey of the structures such as Shell, frames, bulkheads etc.
• Thickness measurement of hull
• Inspecting and Testing of Cargo Tanks
• Inspecting and Testing of Ballast Tanks
• Inspection and Testing of Hatch Covers and Coamings
• Inspecting and Testing fuel tanks, side and double bottom Tanks
• Inspecting Tanks On Board Ships
